The Pistons have converted the contract of shooting guard Stanley Umude to a two-way deal, the team announced.
Umude, 24, originally signed with the Pistons after going undrafted out of Arkansas in 2022. He appeared in one game after signing a 10-day contract in February but spent the majority of the season with the Motor City Cruise of the G League.
Umude then joined the Pistons for Summer League and had a strong showing in the preseason, averaging 9.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in four games.
Detroit has filled all three two-way spots, with with Umude and shooting guards Jared Rhoden and Malcolm Cazalon. The Pistons have 14 players on standard deals, meaning they still have a roster spot available.
