LeBron James has his fair share of critics over the course of his legendary NBA career. But after the Los Angeles Lakers’ recent Game 2 loss at the hands of the Denver Nuggets, Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce has come out with a new move that trolled the King.
Just recently, the Lakers lost the second game of the series when Jamal Murray’s jumper sealed Denver’s 101-99 victory. Two-time MVP Nikola Jokic turned heads around when he finished the game with an insane triple-double of 27 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists. Michael Porter Jr. made 22 points on 61 percent shooting from the field. Jamal Murray added 20 points, including the game-winning shot that helped Denver go home with the dub.
For his part, James ended the night with 26 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks. Anthony Davis was dominant on both ends of the court by dropping 32 points and 11 rebounds. D’Angelo Russell did better in this game than the previous when he made 23 points and six assists.
The loss was a heartbreaking one for LA after they allowed the Nuggets to get rid of their 20-point lead. Add Murray’s final shot to the mix, and the Lakers woes have become a tad bit heavier than when the series started.
After the game, personalities like Skip Bayless and Kendrick Perkins gave their own take on the Lakers’ loss and James’ part in it. Among those individuals who gave their thoughts on the King was Bayless’ Undisputed co-host Paul Pierce, as seen in a screenshot shared on X:

The Lakers’ recent loss is the 10th straight at the hands of Denver. As a result, fans and critics alike are saying Jokic and the Nuggets have owned the LeBron James-led team ever since they got eliminated by them during the previous postseason.
Pierce’s take is just one of the many negative reactions to the Lakers’ Game 2 loss. Hopefully, the momentum will shift in the Lakers’ favor when they play in front of their home crowd soon and get some wins on their column.
