Minor-league report: Marauders' winning streak ends at 11

A look at Wednesday’s minor-league action within the Pirates' system ...

INDIANAPOLIS (17-19) was postponed against Toledo because of field conditions. It will be made up Sunday as a part of a double header of seven-inning games. The Mud Hens and Indians played two Thursday to make up for Tuesday's rainout.

ALTOONA (8-27) lost at Akron, 4-3. The RubberDucks chased away Curve starter Ryan Webb with a three-run sixth inning. The scored the g-ahead run on a double steal with one out in the inning. 

The Curve took a 3-0 lead int the fourth inning. Sammy Siani and Tres Gonzales had RBI groundouts and Jase Bowen punched an RBI single to right field. Bowen and Francisco Acuna each had two hits.

GREENSBORO (20-14) won at Hickory, 2-1. Geovanny Planchart had an RBI single and Jack Brannigan hit a solo home run for Greensboro's runs. Greensboro was limited to six hits -- two including a triple from Mitch Jebb -- and struck out 12 times and drew two walks. 

Grasshoppers starter J.P. Massey limited Hickory to an earned run in six innings. He allowed four hits, struck out four and walked three. Jaden Woods and Cy Nielson combined for three scoreless innings of relief.

BRADENTON (16-19) lost at Tampa, 5-0, ending its 11-game winning streak. 

Bradenton was held to three singles. Jerar Toledo had two of them. The Marauders struck out 11 times and went 0-for-5 with runners in scoring positon as a team.
